East of Quincy the railroad makes a complete loop just like the Southern Pacific built at Walong. However, since the Western Pacific was built with a maximum grade of just one percent, the Williams Loop is not quite as impressive. On July 8, 1979 train WPX encircles itself at the loop. Disk 27
