Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine train I see
Got some doublestacks and lots a piggybacks
Wonder what symbol it could be
The tracks reached Winslow on December 1, 1881. The town was established in 1882 and got its name from
General Edward Francis Winslow, a former president of the
St. Louis & San Francisco Railroad. Piggyback train 188 comes into Winslow for a crew change on May 21, 1989. The train has engines 7439, 7421, and 4008. The Santa Fe engineering department added sheets of plywood behind the signals to make it easier to see the signals when the sun was low on the horizon. Disk 68
