Burlington Northern Railroad train 60 began in 1970 and handled traffic for Chicago and beyond.
BN train 60 handled traffic for Galesburg and beyond including Omaha and Chicago TOFC.
SLSF train 61 handled traffic for Springfield and beyond.

BN train CHO operated from Chicago to Denver and became train 61 on Jan. 1, 1985. It was deleted in early 1986.
BN train 62 began in 1970 and was deleted in the mid-70s.

BN train OAC began in late 1981 as a run through from SP train OACHT from Oakland, CA and D&RGW train 100. It became train 62 on Jan. 1, 1985. In 1988, it handled TOFC and perishable traffic for Chicago and IHB for Conrail train PXSE.
CB&Q train CD (Chicago Denver Merchandise) became train 63 in late 1968. CB&Q train 63 retained the same number after the merger. During 1972-3 the schedule was changed. Train 63 retained the same number during the change on Jan. 1, 1985. It handled TOFC for Omaha, Denver, D&RGW train 101, and SP train CHOAT to Oakland.
CB&Q train 68 became train 64 in late 1968. CB&Q train 64 retained the same number after the merger. It was deleted in 1987.
CB&Q train CGI (Chicago Grand Island) became train 65 in late 1968 and handled traffic for interchange with the Union Pacific train ABNF for North Platte. CB&Q train 65 retained the same number after the merger. Train 65 was deleted in June 1982.

CB&Q train ACD (Advanced Chicago Denver Merchandise) became train 163 in late 1968. CB&Q train 163 retained the same number after the merger and left Chicago Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for Denver. During 1971 the schedule was changed to operate daily. Train 163 became train 65 on Jan. 1, 1985. In 1988 train 65 handled TOFC and general traffic for D&RGW train 187 and SP train RGOAT to Oakland and had an Omaha TOFC block on the head end.
Train 68 began Sept. 8, 1987 and in 1988 handled TOFC for Galesburg, Northtown, and Chicago.
CB&Q train 77 became train 69 in late 1968. CB&Q train 69 retained the same number after the merger.

Train 69 began Sept. 8, 1987 and in 1988 was combined with train 48 to Galesburg. It handled Omaha TOFC. The schedule was changed in 1989 to originate at Galesburg.
CB&Q train 70 retained the same number after the merger. It was deleted in early 1986.

SLSF train 437 retained its number through the merger with BN. Train 437 became train 71 Jan. 1, 1985. It handled traffic for Springfield, Kansas City, Tulsa, and beyond.

Train 74 began Feb. 24, 1989 and operated from Avard to Tulsa. It handled TOFC from the ATSF for Tulsa and beyond.
Train QLA (Quanah Los Angeles) became train 73 Jan. 1, 1985. It handled TOFC and autos for the ATSF train 698 to Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and Phoenix. The symbol was changed to 75 Feb. 24, 1989 and it originates at Tulsa.
BN train symbol 76 Marias Pass
BN train 76 began in 1970 operating via Gillette. The schedule was changed in 1971 to originate in Portland and changed during the Fall of 1977 to operate through Minot. Train 76 was deleted in 1981.
Train 76 began April 27, 1987 and handled TOFC for Springfield, St. Louis, Memphis, and Birmingham.
Train 77 began April 27, 1987 and handled TOFC for Tulsa, Irving, and Houston.
Train 78 began Sept. 9, 1985 and handled TOFC for Springfield, St. Louis, Memphis, and Birmingham. In 1989 the schedule was changed to originate in Houston.
Burlington Northern train symbol 79 Cabin Creek, WA
BN train 79 (Beeliner) was deleted in 1976.

Train 79 began Sept. 9, 1985 and handled TOFC for Kansas City (set out at Springfield for train 85), Springfield, Tulsa, and Irving. In 1989 the schedule was changed to terminate in Houston.
