Train PTCIY (Extra 8306 East) rumbles up the main into Woodford on November 8, 1977. Notice that the short siding was still connected at the north end of Woodford. This switch would be removed in 1983. This was shot from the freeway bridge. The mountain in the background is called the Three Sisters.

Santa Fe train 901 at Woodford, CA

Train 901 (Extra 5542 East) comes up the main track and under the freeway bridges on November 18, 1977. On the rear are helpers engines 3264 and 3335. The heavy Modesto block of mostly insulated boxcars would go to train 973 (the Wine Train) in 1978. Disk 43
