Oakway 9025, 9059, Santa Fe 8117, 8166, and 5144 lead train CAMML at Farwell, TX on July 12, 1988. At this time the train was interchanged with the BN at Amarillo. Later the interchange point was moved to Pueblo and the train operated via La Junta to avoid a back-up move at Amarillo. The train is headed for Southwestern Public Service Company (now Xcel Energy) Roy Tolk Station near Muleshoe, TX. The train comes within about 1,000 feet of crossing into New Mexico.
