The Southern Railway and the D&RGW opted out of Amtrak and continued to run passenger trains. Train 7 with FP7 6148 is leaving Lynchburg, VA in late 1975. It is late in the day and the sun is at the wrong angle, but this scene with the F units would be difficult to capture today.
