Santa Fe Train Symbol 185 at Akron, KS

Piggyback train 185 rolls through Akron, KS (about five miles south of Rock) on the Douglas Subdivision late in the afternoon of June 9, 1978. This 30 mile stretch of Santa Fe single track was dark territory at the time, so train speed was restricted to 45. Now it has CTC and trains can do 55mph. Lower picture on disk 83.
