You are in the CarrTracks website Picture Gallery.
This gallery focuses more on locomotives than action and scenery. The big attraction for the northwest corner of Louisiana was the F7s working on the Louisiana and North Western out of Gibsland. For most of the 70s and 80s there was little action on the former Illinois Central line between Meridian, MS and Shreveport, LA. This changed when the KCS took over this line in 1994. Instead of one or two trains a day, the line now sees three or four daily trains in each direction.
I have connected this gallery with the Louisiana segment of SP Sunset Route gallery so you don't have to search for it.
