Train 865 (Extra 8799 East) at Krider on May 16, 1978. Train 865 handled traffic for MP connection at Sweetwater for Fort Worth.

I was surprised to catch up with train 199 again on July 12, 1988. I thought that when it passed me at Melrose that I wouldn't see it again. The maintenance window further west is still closed and train 508 slowly moves up Krider siding beside train 199. When the window opens, train 199 was the first to go. Disk 60
