Engines 2841 and 2785 are in the siding at Nolanville with the West Local (train symbol 2711) on October 28, 1977. The following year the schedule for the West Local was changed from running between Temple and Brownwood Monday, Wednesday, Friday and return on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday a daily turn. It would leave Temple Monday through Saturday around 7:00AM then turn back at Lometa. The first eastbound is Extra 2577 East with piggyback train symbol 885.
The next eastbound is Extra 5610 East, a unit sulfur train. The train symbol for the unit sulfur train was 785. These trains began in November 1969 handling liquid sulfur for the Duval Corporation from Rustler Springs, NM to Galveston.
