Later in the late afternoon the train is near Lamona. The picture above is on Disk 6 and the one below is on Disk 7. In 1922, the GN added a second track between Lamona and Bluestem 22 miles. It also added mechanical interlockers at each end of the double track. The mechanical interlockers were replaced by automatic interlockers in 1939. If you look closely you can see this train going from single (picture above) to double track (picture below).
